ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION - ENGINE - CAT C11 ENGINE is designed for POWER, RELIABILITY, and EFFICIENCY.
The Cat C11 engine provides unsurpassed traction when digging, moving, and steep grades. Torque boost effectively corresponds to shift points for maximum efficiency and short cycle times. The high-pressure, mechanically-driven, high-pressure fuel injection system (MEUI ™), with direct fuel injection, electronically controls operator requests and sensor inputs to optimize engine performance. Additional air-to-air cooling provides improved fuel economy by packing the cooler and denser air into the cylinders for more complete combustion of the fuel and lower emissions. Pistons in the oil coil increase heat transfer and prolong piston life. The crankshaft is forged and induction hardened to ensure durability.
The Cat C11 engine is equipped with an optional ventilation reduction kit (VR). The VR package includes selective engine hardware and software to minimize diesel emissions in the engine exhaust. Engines equipped with a VR package have a significant reduction in ventilation speed, support fuel consumption and support or improve product performance. The availability of a VR package depends on regional regulatory requirements. Engines that emit the equivalent of US EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA are also available.
With a VR diesel engine, you can use a Cat Diesel particulate filter. This filter complements the VR engine, further reducing the amount of particulate matter in the exhaust. Requires a 15 ppm low sulfur diesel engine and low ash CJ-4 engine oil.
ROBAST DESIGN
Designed for harsh underground mining, the proven planetary power shift transmission is designed for a long service life between major overhauls.
CONVERTER MOMENT

STEERING SYSTEM
The STIC ™ control system combines steering and transmission functions in one controller for maximum responsiveness and smooth control.
OPTIONAL FOOD CONTROL
The optional ride control system uses a nitrogen-filled oil accumulator in the hydraulic lift circuit that serves as a shock absorber for the bucket and lifting arms. The reaction of the lifting lever and bucket to the movement is damped over an uneven surface, reducing the step forward and backward, improving the cycle time and holding the load. A smoother, more comfortable ride gives operators confidence that they can move at higher speeds during loading and unloading.
CAT HYDRAULIC HOSE
Cat proven high pressure XT hydraulic hoses are extremely durable and flexible, ensuring maximum system reliability and long service life under the most demanding conditions. Reusable sleeves with o-ring seals provide superior performance without leaks and extend the service life of the hose assembly.
FRAME DESIGN
The frame is designed to withstand the extreme loads that occur during loading and moving cycles. An accurate manufacturing process ensures that all designs are consistently constructed with high quality. Deep penetration and permanent welds throughout the frame provide a reliable connection between the structures, which provides a reliable platform for the hinge and axles. The design and manufacturing quality of the LHD Cat frames is confirmed by our customers, many of whom reuse the frames when re-equipping the machine to get the 2nd and 3rd life from their LHD.
HITCH
The design of the sliding hitch increases the distance between the upper and lower hitch plates to distribute the forces and increase the service life of the bearings. Thicker coupling plates reduce deflection. Wide opening provides easy access for maintenance. Upper and lower hitch pins rotate on roller bearings to distribute horizontal and vertical loads over a larger surface area. Preload with adjustment adjustment reduces maintenance time. The side steering pin of the steering frame is set to prevent swivel during maintenance and repair.
SEALED PINS
Sealed collet pins are installed at all major points of the bucket hinges and lifting lever to increase the life of the pin and bushing. This reduces maintenance costs and increases service intervals. Sealed joints retain lubrication and prevent contaminants from entering.
DOWNLOAD Z-BAR
The proven hinge geometry of the Z-shaped loader creates a powerful pullout force and an increased angle of inclination of the stand for better loading of the bucket and retention of material. Heavy-duty steel lifting arms with cast steel cross tube ensure effective dissipation of extreme loads during loading and haulage over a long service life.
OPERATOR COMFORT - ERGONOMICALLY DEVELOPED FOR ALL COMFORT, MANAGEMENT AND PERFORMANCE DAYS.
The operator’s workplace is ergonomically designed for full machine control in a comfortable, productive and safe environment. All controls, levers, switches and sensors are positioned to maximize productivity and minimize operator fatigue.
PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE
The integral part of the cab and frame, the rollover protective structure (ROPS) and the falling object protective structure (FOPS) are resiliently fixed to the frame to isolate the operator from vibration for a more comfortable ride.
OPTIONAL CLOSED
The optional ROPS cab with low sound provides a quiet and safe working environment. Large window openings provide excellent visibility in all directions. The closed design allows fresh, compressed air to be circulated at a controlled temperature for a more comfortable working environment.
STEERING AND STEERING TRANSMISSION INTEGRATED CONTROL
STIC provides easy control of the machine by one controller. A simple side-to-side motion articulates the car. Switching direction (forward / neutral / reverse) is controlled using a three-position toggle switch. The thumb buttons control gear selection.
MONITORING SYSTEM
The Cat Electronic Monitoring System (Cat EMS) constantly provides important data about the machine in order to maintain the highest level of machine performance.
PILOT CONTROL
Easy joystick control controls steering, transmission, and attachments for smoother, faster cycles with less operator fatigue.
Buckets
